Tillo and the Missing Pumpkins (ไทย)

It was Halloween in the Enchanted Village, and Tillo the story-sore was very excited. He wore a floppy purple wizard's hat and a matching cape. Toby the tortoise was dressed as a pumpkin, Poppy the hare was a friendly bat, and Pip the mouse was a tiny pirate. Happy Halloween everyone! But when the friends reached the village pumpkin patch, they stopped in surprise. Every pumpkin had disappeared. Oh dear, where have they all gone? Perhaps a Halloween ghost took them. Toby shook his head. Let's look for clues before we decide. Tillo spotted a trail of tiny footprints leading into the woods. Come on friends, let's investigate! They followed the footprints past a sleepy owl, beneath twinkling stars and through rustling autumn leaves. Suddenly they heard a tiny voice. Please don't be cross with us! Behind a fallen log stood three little hedgehogs. Beside them were all the missing pumpkins. We're sorry, our woodland home is terribly dark and we're frightened at night. We wanted to make pumpkin lanterns, but we didn't know how to ask. Tillo smiled kindly. You should always ask before taking something, but we can help you. Together, the friends carried the pumpkins back to the village. The villagers listened to the hedgehogs' story and kindly agreed to share some pumpkins. Toby helped decorate them with funny faces. Poppy gathered colourful autumn leaves. Pip made little paper stars. And Tillo used his wizard's wand to make the lanterns glow with gentle magical light. Soon, a beautiful trail of glowing pumpkins led all the way to the hedgehogs' home. Oh, thank you! Now we won't be frightened of the dark! Tillo smiled. Sometimes the kindest magic is simply helping someone who needs a friend. Then everyone gathered beneath the moonlight. Happy Halloween! Yay! And with a swish of Tillo's purple cape, the whole village began to sing. Tiptoe, tiptoe, here we go. Pumpkin lanterns all aglow. Wiggle your fingers, stomp your feet. Halloween is such a treat.
