Why I Created Storylo-where stories flow (Lietuvių)

If I were to meet Simon Squibb and he asked me, do you have a dream? My response would be, my dream isn't to become famous or make a fortune. My dream is to build Story Low into a place where stories bring people together instead of pushing them apart. In a world where social media often rewards anger and division, I want Story Low to remind people that behind every headline is a human being. Whether it's the Balkans, Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, inspiring individuals who overcame impossible odds or forgotten moments in history, I want people to understand before they judge. But my dream goes even deeper than that. I want to help educate people to love rather than hate because so much hate comes from misunderstanding different cultures and ways of life. I believe we need to start with the young, the children who are born into this world without any choice of the flag they are born under. They deserve hope, opportunity and the chance to grow up understanding that they must live alongside their neighbours in peace no matter who they are. Respect, empathy and kindness should be the foundation of how we raise the next generation. I dream of a world where empathy is seen as strength, where kindness is never mistaken for weakness, where humanitarian acts are celebrated and where people have the courage to act according to their conscience. I believe everyone should have the freedom to express their views and to protest peacefully with respect for others and without violence. Progress is made through understanding, dialogue and compassion, not hatred or division. In a nutshell, I would love to see a world where wars no longer exist, whether civil wars, power struggles or conflicts driven by revenge. Two wrongs never make a right. As human beings we should never retaliate in a way that leads to the killing of others and especially never the killing of children. There has to be a better way. If one documentary can change one person's perspective then perhaps thousands can change communities. StoryLo is a not-for-profit project. If one day it became successful enough to generate significant income, my dream would be to use those profits to help others through food banks, homelessness projects, education and opportunities for young people. I'm 65 years old, I've built businesses, I've lost businesses, I've rebuilt my life and now I feel I've found my purpose. My dream isn't just to tell stories, it's to help create a world where people understand each other a little better because of them.
