Tillo and the Little Garden Helpers (Ελληνικά)
▶ Watch on StoryloOne sunny morning, Tillo the Story Saw and his friends, Toby the Tortoise, Hoppy the Hare and Pip the Mouse were exploring Manor House Gardens. The birds were singing and the flowers were blooming. Suddenly, Pip pointed towards pistachios in the park cafe. Look! What's everyone doing? Volunteers from the Friends of Manor House Gardens were digging, planting flowers and caring for a large planted area. They're making the gardens beautiful for everyone, explained Toby. Then, let's help, said Tillo. The volunteers welcomed their new helpers. Hoppy carried watering cans, Toby carefully pressed soil around the flowers and Tillo gently watered the new plants. Pip was collecting little twigs when something wriggled beneath a leaf. Oh! he squeaked. Look! A tiny worm! Tillo bent down for a closer look. That's an earthworm, Pip, and he's helping the garden too. Really? asked Hoppy. But he's so small! Toby smiled. Earthworms are nature's little gardeners. They make tunnels that help water and air reach the roots, helping plants grow strong. They also turn old leaves into nutrients for the soil. Wow! said Pip. Even worms are important. Every creature has a part to play, said Tillo. Pip gently left the worm where he found it. Soon, colourful flowers filled the planted area, butterflies fluttered and bees buzzed happily. You've all been wonderful helpers, said a volunteer. Just then, Don and Lynn appeared outside the cafe. You've worked so hard, said Lynn. Would you all like some delicious Marshfield Farm ice cream? asked Don. Ice cream! cheered everyone. As they enjoyed their treats, Tillo looked proudly at the flowers. Today we learned that helping nature means caring for plants, animals, and even the tiny creatures beneath our feet. Pip smiled. And that includes our little worm. Because big or small, we all have a part to play in making our world a better place. I can help and so can you. Water gently, watch it flow. Caring helps our flowers grow. Carry plants and gather leaves. Flowers welcome buzzing bees. Dig a little hole then plant. Let's all help the way we can. Helping hands, helping paws. Working happily outdoors. You help me and I help you. There's a little job to do. Then we wash and sit a while. Ice cream brings a happy smile. See the worm down in the ground. Watch him wriggle all around. Give him space and let him go. Through the soil down below. Add pistachios in the park. We have helped and done our part. Dawn and Lynn say well done friends. Now our ice cream time begins. Helping hands, helping paws. Working happily outdoors. You help me and I help you. There's a little job to do. Then we wash and sit a while. Ice cream brings a happy smile. Did we water? Yes we did. Did we plant? Yes we did. Did we help? Yes hooray. Ice cream time. What a day. Marshfield ice cream, what a treat. Cool and creamy, nice to eat. Thank you gardeners. Thank you friends. We'll come back to help again. Little plants grow day by day. We can help in little ways. Working, sharing, all worthwhile. Helping hands and ice cream smiles.
