Dear ones, warm greetings from a Spanish laminitis patient. We are here in Andalusia, where we have a former PRE stallion who suffered from years of laminitis until he was rescued by his owner. She has been rescuing horses for almost 30 years, is a veterinarian herself, and it’s an incredible story. I first rode a horse with her about 20, 25 years ago, and she is the reason I work with horses at all. And so the circle closes, unbelievable. I built a hoof trimming box here so I don't have to drag the trailer all the way down to southern Spain. I then created my own shoe in a local workshop using their welding equipment. I took care of the hoof here. Of course, we also did a local anesthesia, which is why a bit of blood is running down from the top.
